Our West Coast Wildlife series of illustrations was a great success. One of the pieces was a Bald Eagle canvas designed in our mural style (black, metallic, basic colour). Steve thought the illustration on the canvas looked great but lacked oomph. The following is an exploration on how we may have coloured.

On July 28th, 2015, a horrible news story about a famous alpha male lion named Cecil was found skinned and headless. This majestic creature had apparently been the victim of poaching. As an animal lover, Steve felt touched by this story and was inspired to illustrate a lion in his honour. Below are the results of that exploration.
