During the first day of the winter thaw, the temperatures seem to cause some strange weather. Driving to work one day I stumbled upon this scene, extremely dense fog not to far after sunrise in the middle of the country. Luckily I had my camera with me so I stopped when it was safe to take a few snaps, this was my favourite if those attempts. I gave the image a tone for fun however the original shot did not look to much different (just not quite as warm looking). I like the depth and contrast of this image.

This photoshoot of our 2007 Toyota Yaris was a way of remembering not only the location we were living at the time, but the way the car looked as new. It is a relatively environmentally friendly car so I wanted to shoot it in the country. The processing style was attempting to give it a painted, somewhat surreal look, the lighting conditions that day were appropriate to give it the soft pastel sky. For this composite, I was happy about the way the car turned out, I am just unsure about the halo around the treeline, which isn’t necessary due to the editing technique.

As motorcycle season approaches I am reminded of how once upon a time I decided it would be a great idea to purchase a motorcycle to commute to and from work. So I purchased a 2008 Honda CBR 600 RR. The bike has since been sold. After moving to Toronto, I found this bike to be rather overkill for the daily commute. I will definitely say it was an incredible joy to drive and really was an odd but full filling chapter in my life. I really thought this bike was a magnificent beauty, pictures simply couldn’t do it justice.

When I first got into photography shot a lot of photos of the Skyway Bridge in Burlington, Ontario. This composition was shot at night with a long exposure. What I really liked about the final composition was the light sky on the bottom right corner which was a reflection of the City of Hamilton. I also loved how the lights flared into the lens and the overall tungsten lighting with the cool sky colour. I did some clone stamping which didn’t turn out so well however was awesome for me at the time.
