It is is a shot of her looking at a composite book of herself with a face lined up where her head actually is trying to make it seem like the book isn’t there at all. What I was impressed about this shoot was the clarity of the images shot to create the composite. It was shot at F8 using a Canon 24-70, needless to say it is crazy sharp. We were also experimenting with lighting on this shot to see if we could attempt a light contrast stock shoot feel.

Taking off

Photo

blue

brown

dock

duck

water

wildlife

A shot of a duck taking off as I approached. My goal was to take a shot of it in mid flight jumping off the dock. What I really love about this image is the reflection of the high sun in the sky as well as the ducks’ own reflection under itself. I also love the toning of this image as they’re all relatively on the same palette. I am glad I didn’t crop the wing off the right side of the frame.

Relaxing to tunes

Photo

brown

headphones

light

man

people

portrait

My friend Giancarlo again letting me use his likeness to practice with my gear and lighting. I also wanted to practice with a new editing technique I was playing with. This image is shot using 2 lights, one on the main subject off to the right of the frame, and another on the wall behind him. I would be interested into your opinion and suggestions on the lighting and pose of this composition. Posing is definitely not my strong suit.

Moon Rise

Photo

brown

composite

landscape

moon

sunset

tree

This is a shot of the moon rising over a cornfield during sunset. What I loved about this image was the drastic change in direction of the tree and the lack of any leaves on it. I also like the position of the Moon rising over the tree and field. I did enlarge the Moon to give it more detail. Like this image, I did this to add more visual interest and detail to the moon. With the lens used the moon is not that interesting or impressive as it was in person. I llike the tone of the image with the hint of blue sky.
